Hockeytime.net: Ciao Chris, ci puoi dire le tue impressioni sulla partita?
Chris Pronger: Ciao, ovviamente non era il modo in cui volevamo iniziare la stagione, sono rimasto molto colpito dalla calorosa accoglienza dei nostri fans anche lontano dagli Stati Uniti però è un peccato non averli accontentati con i due punti.
HT: Secondo te che cosa ha sbagliato la tua squadra durante questo match?
CP: Sicuramente abbiamo perso la partita perché abbiamo preso troppe penalità stupide ed i Kings ci hanno dimostrato di essere letali nei power play.
HT: Quali sono le tue aspettative per la partita di domani?
CP: Sicuramente vogliamo un risultato diverso! Ce la metteremo tutta per vincere il prossimo match e portare a casa due punti preziosi.
HT: Quali sono invece le aspettative della squadra per la stagione appena iniziata?
CP: Le aspettative per questa stagione sono le stesse di quella scorsa, sappiamo che è difficile riconfermarci ma è decisamente nei nostri obiettivi cercare di vincere prima il titolo di Conference e successivamente giocarcela tutta in finale di Stanley.
HT: Infine ti chiediamo che cosa ne pensi di questo inizio londinese di stagione…
CP: E’ una esperienza veramente bella, l’atmosfera è molto calda e quello che mi ha colpito maggiormente è stato vedere come i fans si equivalevano nel supportare le rispettive squadre del cuore.

After the first of the two back to back matches between the Anaheim Ducks and the LA Kings that opened the 2007-08 NHL season in London, we had the chance to speak with the new captain of the Anaheim Ducks, Chris Pronger.
Hockeytime.net: Hi Chris, first of all we’d like to know your impressions on tonight’s game…
Chris Pronger: Hi, well it was not the way we wanted to start the new season, I was glad to see a lot of our fans out there cheering for us but at the same time it’s disappointing that we couldn’t give them the joy of the victory.
HT: What do you think went wrong in the approach of this game?
CP: Well obviously we took too many penalties and the LA Kings showed us how dangerous their power play can be by scoring most of their goals on a power play situation.
HT: What are your expectations for tomorrow’s (Sunday’s i.e.) game?
CP: Of course we want a different outcome and we’ll do our best in order to get two precious points.
HT: What are the team’s goals for this season?
CP: Well, this year’s expectations are pretty much the same as last year’s. We know that it’s hard to repeat the wonderful season that we had but it’s definitely our goal to do the best that we can to achieve the Conference Title first, and then keep the Stanley with us in California.
HT: One final question, we’d like to know how does it feel to begin the new NHL season away from the States…
CP: Well, I think that’s great! The fans were awesome tonight and what impressed me the most was that the cheers were very well balanced between the two teams.
