CARLYLE LEWIS:”Sì finalmente siamo tornati alla vittoria dopo tre brutte partite. Una bella vittoria stasera, abbiamo giocato molto bene in difesa e anche un ottimo power play e poi il nostro capitano Rolly (Ramoser) ha disputato davvero un grande match.”
HT:”Avete appena cambiato allenatore. Quali sono stati secondo te i problemi principali per la squadra in questo ultimo periodo?”
CL:”Mah, io penso che lui sia un buon allenatore. Ha lavorato molto bene a Cortina dove se ne è andato dopo una vittoria perchè forse era troppo tardi per cambiare i giocatori. Credo che possa aiutare molto la squadra.”
HT:”L’opinione pubblica, la stampa al tuo arrivo in Italia ti hanno presentato come la “guardia del corpo” dei due fratelli Omicioli. Noi abbiamo sentito Mike due mesi fa e ci raccontò di giocare più tranquillo quest’anno e di poter andare a giocare anche negli angoli con più sicurezza. Che idea hai tu in proposito?”
CL:”Sì, questo è vero, però credo di non essere il bodyguard solo di Mike e Drew, ma di tutti i miei compagni di squadra, e poi in questa stagione ho segnato anche alcuni gol e ho aiutato molti miei compagni a segnare. Non scendo in campo solo per colpire o per litigare con la gente sul ghiaccio.”
HT:” Carlyle, tu hai giocato nella American Hockey League ed in altre leghe minori in Canada e in negli Stati Uniti. Com’è secondo te il livello di qui in Italia e quali sono le maggiori differenze tra le leghe americane e quelle europee?”.
CL:”Devo dire che ci sono grandi differenze. Prima di tutto le piste sono molto più grandi e si passa molto più tempo col disco prima di dare un passaggio. È tutto uno stile di hockey diverso tra Europa e America, e non solo dalla Nhl o la Ahl, ma anche dalle leghe minori come Uhl o Ehl”.
HT:” Allora un’ultima domanda a Carlyle Lewis.Quali saranno secondo te le maggiori difficoltà che incontrerete da qui alla fine del campionato?”.
CL:”Beh, di non batterci da soli. Dobbiamo saper mantenere una buona concentrazione fino alla fine e riprendere confidenza con le vittorie. Poi tornerà anche Rob Bouchard a darci una mano e credo che abbiamo ottime possibilità di vincere il campionato.”

CARLYLE LEWIS: ”Yeah, we finally win again tonight after three bad matches. We played very well tonight and we played defensive good, and a good power play too and our captain Rolly played a great match and that’s all.”
HT:”Ok, you’ve changed by now the coach. Which were on your opinion the main problems in this last period?
CL:”Yeah, we’ve changed the coach and he worked very good in Cortina where he went away after a win, because it was to late to change the players. I think he is a good coach and he will help the team.”
HT:”The public opinion and the press here in Italy made a picture of you as the “bodyguard” of the two Omicioli brothers. We interviewed two months ago Mike and he said he could now play more quiet and easy in the corner too. What do you think about this?”
CL:”Yeah, it is true, but I would say that I’m not only the bodyguard of Mike and Drew but of all the players of the team and in this season I’ve scored some goals too and I helped other players to score goals, and I do not only play just to hit people or fight with people.”
HT:” You’ve played in the American Hockey League and in others minor league in Canada and in the U.S.A. What do you think about the level here in Italy and which are the main differences between the two leagues? ”.
CL:”There are big differences. The ices are much bigger here in Italy. You spend most time with the puck and it is a very different hockey style between Europe and America. Not only with the main league, the Nhl or the second league, the Ahl, but also with the other leagues like Ehl or Uhl.”.
HT:” The last question to Carlyle Lewis. Which are by your side the main difficulties you will have from here till the end of the championship? ”
CL:”Not to beat ourselves. We have to keep the concentration and to take confidence with the wins back. Then Rob Bouchard will come back and help us again and I think we have good chance to win the championship”
