HockeyTime.netDopo una prima parte di stagione non esaltante, l’estremo asiaghese Mike D’Alessandro sta iniziando a diventare più sicuro di se stesso e, le sue prestazioni nelle ultime 3-4 gare sono davvero molto positive..ieri sera contro il Bolzano ha effettuato alcuni ottimi interventi e, non credo di sbagliare se dico che Mike è stato uno dei migliori giocatori dell’Emisfero Ipermercati Asiago.
Hockeytime: Ciao Mike, innanzitutto complimenti per la tua prestazione, nonostante questa sconfitta con un solo goal di scarto non è un’eresia affermare che almeno un punto lo meritavate, sopratutto visto i miglioramenti rispetto a qualche tempo fa…cosa ne pensi?
Mike D’Alessandro: Allora, questa settimana abbiamo fatto degli allenamenti molto buoni e, sinceramente eravamo molto preparati ad affrontare questa delicata sfida, visto soprattutto il risultato della gara di circa 15 gg. fa a Bolzano, che ci aveva lasciato l’amaro in bocca..siamo stati bravi a reagire dopo la rete subita all’inizio del 1° periodo, però non lo siamo stati altrettanto nel finale, quando abbiamo avuto la chance di pareggiare, grazie alle doppie superiorità numeriche che però abbiamo malamente sprecato! Il loro portiere poi ha fatto dei grandi salvataggi e, in campo c’erano dei giocatori molto bravi che ci hanno impedito di raggiungere il nostro obiettivo.Credo che almeno un punto ci stava, visto che in alcuni tratti di partita vi era molto equilibrio fra le due compagini.
Hockeytime: Forse stasera un punto vi avrebbe restituito un po’ di serenità e, aiutato a superare questo periodo molto delicato per la vostra squadra..
Mike D’Alessandro: Si, perché noi stiamo cercando di lavorare duramente sul ghiaccio, i risultati tardano ad arrivare, ma nel complesso possiamo dire che seppur lentamente, qualche miglioramento è evidente e incoraggiante per il team.
Il nostro obiettivo è quello di dare il massimo per ottenere più risultati possibili..
E’ necessario che facciamo quello che sappiamo fare in maniera semplice, senza complicarci la vita volendo strafare, perché se ognuno di noi lavora per la squadra e ci si aiuta i risultati e le buone prestazioni arriveranno.. ne sono certo! Voglio dire però che anch’io devo migliorare, tutti devono dare di più a questa squadra..
Hockeytime: Quali sono le principali differenze tra il campionato americano in cui hai militato lo scorso anno e quello italiano?
Mike D’Alessandro: Allora, io penso che prima di tutto il campo qui in Italia è molto più grande rispetto a quello americano, poi ci sono molte più partite in una settimana e, a livello “pratico” in campo non ci sono molti contatti fra i giocatori, poiché le regole sono molto severe..dal mio punto di vista qui è più impegnativo da un lato, meno da un altro!
Hockeytime: Una domanda personale.. vi è una ragione particolare per cui hai deciso di intraprendere la carriera hockeystica?
Mike D’Alessandro: Non vi è una motivazione significativa..Quando ero più piccolo mio padre mi ha insegnato a pattinare e, incoraggiato a giocare a hockey..crescendo, questa mia iniziale passione si è trasformata in attività lavorativa, che spero mi possa dare molte soddisfazioni!
Hockeytime: Ti piacerebbe un giorno poter giocare un giorno nella Dell tedesca o in un altro campionato europeo? Molte vecchie conoscenze del campionato italiano lo hanno fatto e in base alle loro dichiarazioni sono stati felici delle loro scelte..
Mike D’Alessandro: Nel mio futuro spero naturalmente di migliorarmi e quindi di poter aspirare a mete sempre più alte, ma per il momento la mia volontà è di rimanere qui ad Asiago per un paio d’anni e, di costruire qualcosa d’importante con questa società e questi tifosi..
Hockeytime: Un giudizio sulla tua scelta di venire ad Asiago quest’anno..
Mike D’Alessandro: Io e mia moglie amiamo la città, la gente è molto calorosa nonostante questa cittadina sia un po’ isolata dal resto della provincia.. come ti ho detto la mia volontà è quella di continuare a lavorare duro per raggiungere importanti traguardi, insieme ai miei compagni!

After a first part of the season not so shining, Asiago’s goalie Mike D’Alessandro is starting to became more confident on himself, and his last 3-4 performances were really good. Last night against Bolzano he effectuated some important interventions, and I think I’m not wrong if I say that Mike has been one of the best players of Emisfero Ipermercati Asiago.
Hockeytime: Hello Mike, first of all, congratulations for your performance, although Bolzano edged Asiago 3-2 it’s not an heresy to say that at least you deserved one point, especially because there have been many improvements differently than some time ago..what do you think about it?
Mike D’Alessandro: Well, this week we had really good practices and, honestly we were really ready to play this delicate game, especially after knowing how we played against them two weeks ago..we were able to react after they scored at the beginning of the first half but we didn’t do the same at the final minutes of the game, when we had the possibility to equalize thanks to the two man advantage, but we threw away many good chances. Their goalie has done big saves and, on ice, there were really good players that have done all their best to hinder us to reach our object. I think that at least we deserved one point, especially knowing that during some moments the game was very balanced.
Hockeytime: Maybe tonight one point would have given to to you a little bit of serenity, and helped to get over this bad period for your team..
Mike d’Alessandro: Yes, because we are working very had on the ice, but the results still have to come out, but on the whole we can say that although slowly, some improvement is clear and encouraging for the team. Our goal is to give the best to get as many points as possible. It’s necessary that we play as we know by keeping it simple without wanting to complicate things that won’t lead to anything,
because if everybody works for the team and we help each other, the results and the good performances will soon come out…I’m sure! First of all I have to became better, everybody has to give more to this team…
Hockeytime: What are the main differences between the American Championship where you played last year and Italian Championship?
Mike D’Alessandro: Well, I think first of all in Italy there’s a bigger ice rink than in America, then there are a lot more games in a week and, and technically on the ice there aren’t so many contacts between the players like here in Italy. In America the rules are very strict, from my point of view here is more exciting on one side and, less exacting from the ther one!
Hockeytime: A personal question…is there a particular reason why you decided to became an ice hockey player?
Mike D’Alessandro: No, there isn’t. When I was young, my father taught me how to skate and, he encouraged me to play hockey…growing up, my simple passion has transformed into a job and, I hope it will give me a lot of gratifications!
Hockeytime: Would you like someday to play in an important championship as Dell or in another European championship? Many players who played in Italy are playing in Europe, and according what they said they are happy of their choiches.
Mike D’Alessandro: I hope that in the coming years the Italian championship will give me the chance to improve myself and, reach higher goals but, for the moment, I want to remain here in Asiago for a couple of years and, build something important with this team and these fans..
Hockeytime: Finally your opinion about your choice to come play for Asiago this year…
Mike D’Alessandro: My wife and I love the city, people is very close to us, although this city is a little bit isolated from the rest of the province… as I told you, I want to continue to work hard to reach higher goals , with my mates!
