HockeyTime.netIntervista live a Mike Omicioli attaccante italo-americano dell’Hockey Club Bolzano protagonista di un grande inizio di stagione e top scorer della squadra.
HOCKEY TIME: “ Ciao Mike complimenti per la tua stagione e un tuo commento sulla partita di stasera”
MIKE OMICIOLI:” S’, credo che abbiamo giocato molto bene come squadra e soprattutto nella fase difensiva non abbiamo fatto errori o gli abbiamo comunque rimediati. Penso che abbiamo condotto un gioco semplice e un grande gioco di squadra.”
HT:” Dopo le difficoltà di inizio stagione adesso state giocando molto bene e la squadra sembra avere trovato un buon sistema di gioco, cosa ne pensi Mike”.
MO:” Penso che quest’anno ci sono molti giocatori nuovi, ragazzi che non avevano mai giocato insieme prima, ma credo che ora vada ogni volta meglio. Dobbiamo solo abituarci a giocare l’uno con l’altro, trovare il feeling giusto. Adesso sembriamo essere una vera squadra e siamo pronti a giocare”.
HT:” In questa stagione gioca con voi un giocatore extra size come Carlyle Lewis. Ti senti più sicuro e protetto adesso?”
MO:” Sì, io e Drew abbiamo giocato con lui per tre stagioni prima e ci conosciamo molto bene. Posso giocare più facilmente così, posso andare negli angoli e creare più gioco e so che lui è lì a controllare la situazione alle mie spalle. Anche Drew ha iniziato a segnare di nuovo e credo che entrambi ci sentiamo più protetti ed è molto bello”.
HT:” A questo punto della stagione avete incontrato tutte le squadre. Qual è la tua favorita per lo scudetto?”
MO:” In realtà contro il Milano non ho giocato ma Milano resta la mia favorita, poi come ho detto noi stiamo giocando bene adesso e anche Cortina è una buona squadra ancora”.
HT:” Ok Mike grazie mille. Cosa puoi dire a i tanti ragazzi che seguono l’hockey. Perché iniziare a giocare a hockey?”
MO:” Perché è lo sport più veloce della terra e il più aggressivo insieme al football americano. Ci sono molti contatti ed è semplicemente uno sport fantastico.”

HOCKEY TIME: “Hi Mike first of all congratulations for your season and I ask your comment on the match”.
MIKE OMICIOLI:” Yeah I think we played very well as a team we played very good defensive and we did made many mistakes or we covered our mistakes and we only think to play simple ice hockey game and finally we made a great team play”.
HT:” After the initial difficulties of the beginning of the season now you are playing very well and you finally found a play system for the team”.
MO:” I think this year there are a lot of guys who are new and who never play together but now is going every time better. I think we seem to be a very good team and we just need to get use to each other, we must work very hard and we look like a team now and we are ready to play”.
HT:” In this season play with you an extra size player like Carlyle Lewis. Do you feel more protected on the ice now?”
MO:” Well, Drew and me we played with him 3 seasons together before now and we know each other very well. Yeah, I know that I can play more easy I can go in the corners and create more and I know that he’s gonna be there. Drew too he started to score again and both we definitely feel more protected now and that’s very nice “.
HT:” By now you play against all the teams of the championship. What’s your impression about the favourite team for this season”.
MO:”I did not play against Milan but I think it would be Milan repetition and as I said we are playing very well now and Cortina too is a very good team”.
HT:” Ok Mike thank you very much. Finally what could you say to many children and guys who look at ice hockey. Why to play ice hockey”
MO:” Because it is the fastest sport on earth and the most aggressive, there are a lot of contacts and it is a fantastic sport”.
