HockeyTime.netNel dopo partita dell’incontro di martedì sera, terminato 1 a 1 contro il Fassa, abbiamo raccolto le impressioni di Johan Carlsson, il centro svedese del Pontebba autore di un buon inizio di campionato ed attualmente miglior marcatore delle Aquile con 2 gol e 3 assist.
HockeyTime: Abbiamo notato che a differenza delle prime partite hai giocato in una nuova linea offensiva con De Frenza e Margoni.
Johan Carlsson: Credo che la ragione per cui la linea sia cambiata è che abbiamo giocato molte partite negli ultimi giorni dato che la Coppa Italia ci ha tenuti impegnati (4 partite in 5 giorni, ndr) e quindi alcuni di noi erano stanchi. Penso dunque che l’allenatore abbia deciso di fare dei cambiamenti in modo tale da avere comunque una linea offensiva fresca e competitiva affiancando a chi era più stanco i giocatori che avevano ancora molta energia in corpo in modo tale che questi ultimi potessero supplire ad eventuali mancanze degli altri.
HT: Ci puoi dare un tuo parere su come le Aquile hanno giocato la partita contro il Fassa?
JC: Abbiamo lavorato sodo ma allo stesso tempo abbiamo preso troppi minuti di penalità. Abbiamo concesso al Fassa un numero eccessivo di volte il doppio vantaggio e questo è un aspetto negativo della nostra partita perché giocare costantemente con alcuni dei nostri compagni nella panca dei puniti comporta un lavoro maggiore per chi rimane sul ghiaccio e si rischia di essere già stanchi prima della fine del tempo regolamentare. Di conseguenza nelle prossime partite dobbiamo migliorare sotto questo aspetto e cercare di giocare in modo più intelligente evitando quindi di prendere tutte queste penalità.
HT: Le Aquile hanno creato molte occasioni da gol ma ad eccezione del gol di Gorman sono state tutte inconcludenti.
JC: Sì, è una cosa positiva che siamo riusciti a creare tutte queste occasioni ma allo stesso tempo non siamo riusciti a riportarci in vantaggio. Posso dire che nell’hockey capitano serate di questo tipo durante le quali il puck non vuole entrare ma sicuramente dobbiamo migliorare anche sotto questo aspetto cercando di essere più concreti quando arriviamo a rete.
HT: Che cosa ne pensi del Brunico, il vostro prossimo avversario?
JC: Loro sono migliorati molto rispetto allo scorso anno, credo che l’uomo più pericoloso sia lo svedese Eriksson ma anche le loro linee offensive non sono per niente male. Conosco molto bene Jonas Lennartsson perchè abbiamo giocato per anni insieme in Svezia: è un buon difensore e siamo amici.

HockeyTime: We have noticed that differently from the first couple of games the offensive line in which you are playing has been changed, and now your linemates are De Frenza and Margoni.
Johan Carlsson: I think that the reason why it has changed is because we have been playing lots of games in a short time (4 games in 5 days) with the Italian cup tournament going on, so some of our guys were a little tired. The coach decided to make some changes in order to have a fresh offensive line. By mixing the players he wanted to help those who were running out of energy by those who were rested so that eventual gaps could be filled. In this way the offensive line still gets to be competitive.
HT: Can you give us your impression on the way Team Aquile has played against Fassa?
JC: We worked hard though we got too many penalties: we gave Fassa too many times the chance to play with the two man advantage and that was bad because playing constantly with some of your teammates in the penalty box makes you work harder and the team risks to get too tired too soon. Therefore in the next games we need to improve our game by playing smarter and by not getting all these penalties.
HT: Team Aquile has created lots of scoring opportunities but except for Gorman’s goal they were all inconclusive.
JC: Yes, it is positive that we had all these chances to score but at the same time we couldn’t get it done. I can say that sometimes in hockey the puck doesn’t want to go in, but we certainly have to improve on this skill and try to be more concrete when we are close to the net.
HT: What do you think of Brunico, your next opponent?
JC: They improved a lot since last year, I think that the most dangerous guy for them is Eriksson but also their offensive lines are really good. I know very well Jonas Lennartsson because we’ve played together for many years in Sweden: he’s a good defenseman and a friend of mine.
